Where your list is stored

Products, quantities, prices, notes, calculation settings (FX, rates, budget) and the list name are kept in your browser’s localStorage on this device. There is no account or cross-device sync, and these fields are not sent to an application database. Other people on a shared device may read the same browser’s data.

Search and calculations

Search puts the words you type into the URL query, which may remain in browser history, a link you share or host logs; do not enter personal sensitive information. Calculator fields run in the browser; when a list is carried into a calculation, the yen subtotal also appears in the URL.

Services the site needs

This site uses Cloudflare for hosting and security. Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address, request time, URL and security events under its policy. Page fonts and AI-redrawn product images are served by this site; there are no requests to third-party font or image services, and no hotlinks to brand or shop product photos. YouTube video thumbnails on journal pages are served by YouTube’s image servers, which can collect the technical data needed to load a thumbnail. This site currently has no first-party behaviour tracking, ads, marketing cookies or email list.

Deletion and backups

You can remove list items one by one, or delete TravPrice’s local data in your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing data may be irreversible; you can first download JSON with the list’s “Export backup”. You keep that file; this version does not yet offer import.

External sites and contact

Official product links take you to third-party sites, whose data practices follow their privacy policies. Privacy questions can be sent through the maintainer’s public GitHub pagecontact details. This notice will be updated before accounts, ads or data services are added.
